There James Baroud 100mm HD mounting bracket is the reinforced steel version, 100mm center distance, of the James Baroud rigid shell tent fixing system on Load BarsEssential when the spacing between your bars is greater than that covered by standard brackets (JB-FIX 70mm center distance or JB-FIXL 85mm center distance), or when you want to gain robustness for intensive off-road use.
Zinc-plated steel with anti-corrosion treatment, sold individually (you typically need 4 per tent for a 4-point attachment). Compatible with all James Baroud hard-shell tents. EVASIONGrand Raid, Discovery, Odyssey, Nova, Space, Vision — and with most of the Load Bars from the market (Thule, Yakima, RHINO-RACK, Front Runner, etc.).

What is its intended use?
To choose when your Load Bars These brackets have a wider spacing than standard brackets, which is common on SUVs and 4x4s with factory-installed longitudinal rails. The steel HD version is also recommended for heavy-duty use: off-road expeditions, expeditions, and rough terrain where mechanical stress on the mounting points is high. For typical urban or highway driving, the standard JB-FIX or JB-FIXL brackets are sufficient.
Installation and maintenance
Allow 30 minutes to install four new tent legs. Remove the tent from the vehicle, detach the old legs (four screws each), position the new ones, tighten to the recommended torque (8 Nm), and then reattach the tent to the roof bars. Maintenance: grease the threads every two years and visually check the torque before each long trip.
